FAQs

1. Where can I stay? Are there recommended hotels or resorts near the venue? Are there any special rates for wedding guests?

We have arranged complimentary accommodations for our guests at the Four Points Ungasan - Deluxe Room. Depending on your RSVP form, we can reserve a room for you.

Additionally, guests have the option to upgrade their accommodations to a couple of options we have negotiated special rates with. These options include:

If you are interested in upgrading to one of the options provided above instead of our complimentary option, please feel free to reach out to our wedding planner, Michelle, via WhatsApp for assistance.

2. What if I want to come to Bali and stay in Bali a little later outside of the wedding time, do you support any extend for hotel:

You're very welcome to arrive early in Bali and stay longer after the wedding. Please indicate your preferences in the RSVP form, so our wedding planner can contact hotels regarding your extension request. Please note that any additional fees for extending your stay won't be covered by the couple.

Transportation: How do I get to the destination? Are there airport shuttles or transportation services provided?

From the airport to the hotel, guests are recommended to arrange their own transportation. We suggest using Gotek or Grab services from the airport.

However, for transportation from the hotels to the wedding destination, we provide shuttle services to facilitate easier transportation. The shuttle schedule will be provided during the week of the wedding.

4. Visas and Travel Documents: Do I need a visa to travel to the destination? What are the entry requirements? Are there any vaccinations or health precautions I should be aware of?

For guests from Vietnam and other South East Asian countries: You won’t need a visa to get to Bali. Make sure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months prior to visiting Bali. For guests from other countries, a visa will be required. Tourist visa can be obtain as arrival to Indonesia at Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport, however to avoid the wait you can apply for visa ahead of time through this website with the fee of $30. https://molina.imigrasi.go.id/

Below is the quick snapshot of option you could choose for visa.

5. Weather: What is the weather like during the wedding dates? What type of clothing should I pack?

The weather in Bali is hot and humid year-round, so please pack accordingly.

6. Cultural Etiquette: Are there any cultural customs or etiquette I should be aware of in the destination country?

  • Dress modestly when visiting temples or other religious sites. Sarongs and sashes are often required attire for both men and women.

  • It's customary to greet people with a smile and a nod, especially when meeting someone for the first time.

  • Avoid pointing with your index finger, as it can be considered impolite. Instead, gesture with your thumb.

  • When entering a Balinese home or temple, it's customary to remove your shoes before stepping inside.

Showing respect for elders is important in Balinese culture, so be mindful of your interactions with older individuals.

7. Children and Plus Ones: Are children or plus ones allowed at the wedding events.

Unless the invitation explicitly includes the term 'Family' or both names, we regret that we are unable to accommodate plus ones due to the limited space at our wedding venue and the intimate atmosphere we wish to maintain.

While we adore all children, please note that our wedding ceremony and reception will be exclusively for adults. Additionally, considering our cliffside venue, we kindly request that children under 12 not attend for safety reasons.

However, we understand that traveling with children is a consideration. Depending on your RSVP, our wedding planner team can arrange a designated area for little ones with supervised activities and childcare services

8. What can I wear while going out in Bali?

In most areas of Bali, it is recommended to wear comfortable clothes such as short-sleeved shirts, blouses, shorts, and dresses.  If you are traveling to a temple, please adhere to their dress code as the island of Bali is predominantly Hindu.  They will offer a sarong for ladies to tie around the waist if you are wearing shorts.

9. What is the exchange rate from USD to Indonesian Rupiah?
1 USD = ~15,000 Indonesian Rupiah (IDR).

10. Do I need to carry cash? If so, how much? Where is the best place to exchange money?
It is recommended to carry ~1,000,000 rupiah or ~$75 USD. Most places (cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, attractions, retailers) take credit cards. However, street vendors only accept cash.

11. What language is spoken in Bali?
Bahasa Indonesia and English are spoken on the island. As it is a major tourist spot in Indonesia, most of the Indonesians you will meet are able to speak fluent English.
